I have set up paid memberships pro and restricted the GD location page to two membership levels.

When I go to the site as a not logged in visitor – https://artisanfrance.com – I get asked if I want to use my location which is expected. However, the location/me page loads and displays all the listings to a non logged in visitor.

I do not see anywhere I can restrict location/me – /me does not appear to be a page?

I have restricted the CPT and this works fine – i.e. if the visitor tries to drill down into a listing they get sent to a registration page.

My question is, is there anywhere in GD where I can prevent the location/me page from loading for non logged in users only ?

    Hello!

That would be a question for PMPro.

I looked through their docs but could not find a straightforward answer.

@guust here in the forum has had success with S2Member, which can use the URL of the page to grant/remove access, but I don’t see that

Let us know how it goes

Thanks Alex. As a workaround access to the individual listings is sorted by pmpro restricting access by CPT. We can’t seem to work out why the location page restriction is not working but the issue I have is possibly a little different as described below:

User goes first time to home page (basic non GD page) at artisanfrance.com
gets asked if he wants to be geolocated
if yes then gets redirected to location/me
if no, then remains on home page BUT after signing up (in pmpro) the “near me” option doesn’t work “your current location is unknown”

    Questions:

why is GD doing anything on the home page? it’s a non GD page.

can I stop the redirection to location/me happening?

is there a way of prompting for “allow location” other than on the home page so near me works in the scenario described above?

    Hi Bob,

There is a “Near me” button widget and shortcode, maybe you could try this?

    Hello!

The settings available for redirection are available here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/search-filters-overview/#redirect

Disabling redirection may be your best option.
