Unable to add places

    Hi guys,

    I’m having an issue where I’m unable to add places to a site I’m testing with. Every time I try to add a listing I get redirected to the homepage after trying to submit from the draft review screen.

    I’ve checked the post permission in settings, have run all the checks from GD Tools (which all pass) and have tried to verify the options I’ve set are ok but still no luck. I’ve tried implementing some fixes from previous posts here where others have had a similar issue, but none have worked so far.

    If I pass on my site details below can you please take a look? I’m hoping to get the members package as I need several of the GD add-ons, would really appreciate any help you could provide.

    Please check that user and password, it is not working for me.
    I just added a listing and it seemed all fine.

    Recently the Kleo theme’s update causes a redirect problem on admin-ajax.php pages.
    It seems that has not been fixed yet.

    Hi Guust,

    Sorry for the delay in reply. I’ve spent the last few days with Kleo support and they are confident the bug you referenced has been fixed in the latest version (which I’m running).

    I’ve done a test with disabling the Kleo theme and using the WP Twenty Seventeen theme and I get the same result – Whenever I try to add a place from the front end, after hitting the publish button you get redirected to the home screen and nothing gets added to the DB.

    Could it be something to do with PHP settings? If you get a chance can you please take another look at the site? Love this plugin and would really like to use it but can’t figure out why I can’t add any places.

    Hi Micheal,

    You have a PHP session problem on your server (either session directory is not writable or it does not exists), please ask your server admin about this.

    I have applied temporary fix as mentioned here https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/checkout-redirecting-to-homepage/#post-404418 and it fixed the redirect issue. I have successfully created one listing after applying this fix.

    Hi Kiran,

    Awesome! Everything appears to be working as expected now, thanks for putting the workaround in place for me. I’ll get in touch with the hosting company to resolve the PHP session problem.
