Site verification for Norton etc

    In order to verify my site with Norton Security, i need to enter a Meta Tag or HTML file to the site. Not being into the coding side of things could you please tell me the easiest way to do this. Site is currently Geo1280 Theme. Not sure how/ where I’d have to enter either and having looked online i don’t want to do anything that may make the site go wrong! Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

    Since this is not related to GD, please contact Norton for further support. Just took a look at this article https://support.norton.com/sp/en/my/home/current/solutions/kb20090410134005EN_EndUserProfile_en_us and to verify your site, you’ll just have to upload the “HTML file” (Provided by Norton) to your server.

    Hi Kor, thanks for the reply. I think maybe i have mis-worded the original post. I have the info that i need to do this from Norton (see attached) but it is how I input either of these options into my WordPress site. I.e. i have the Meta tag but where on my site settings do i enter it “in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.” And is one of the options they propose more suitable than the other (i.e easier to do on my settings!) !! Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

    Try inserting the code in GD > Design > Scripts > Header script code as shown in the attached and see if it works.

    Thank- tried but didn’t work! Is it possible for the keywords option and where would I enter this (i wasn’t sure if the site even had a keywords option as i searched but couldn’t locate it!)?
