Good morning. I need a little guidance on two items.

First, how do I use related listing widgets? Can I select “any” category to display on the side bar? For example, if someone is attending an event I would like for Hotels and other places to sleep to display on search results for events.

If searching for a Farm Listing (cpt) I want there to be some other kind of “merchant” listing on the side bar widget.

    Is it possible?

Next, the events are saving to “draft” and I would like for them to auto publish.

    Thank you and kind regards,

    Steve

    Hi,

we have a doc for it on the shortcode page:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#related

for ‘relating’ it’s either categories OR tags, not a specific tag.

So, if it ctp places and listing is set to tags,
and the widget is used on the detail page
and a place farm has tag ‘farm-conference-accomodation’,
and then a listing for a place hotel has tag ‘farm-conference-accomodation’
then viewing the detail page of the hotel
    would show the farm
    and vice versa.

I’m not getting it, can you say a bit more?

Yes, usually when I create a Custom post type and connect it with event settings in pricing any event that I attached to the Custom post type will attached to the business listing (cpt)

And, in the detail view an “Event Tab is Created” / When clicking on the event tab any events published by the business listing owner are visible.

In this case the listing is Everything Agricultural (Cooperative listing) “just as a test”
I created a couple of test events and ?linked them? to the listing.

I thought that a tab would appear in the listing.

I must not have some setting correct.

    Kind regards,

    Hello,

I think you might be looking for a text link in the right sidebar. That’s how linked ‘stuff’ shows up, usually.

    Hello Steve,

yes, that’s a good tutorial, and you have followed those steps?

You have the price package setup and options reviewed at:

GD > Design > Detail > Linked events settings

We don’t have any reports of any other issues with this feature, so, if you review the settings you should be able to find the issue.

(Could you have hidden it with CSS, perhaps?)

We can take a look, just write back with your details:
