Is there a way to filter the recent review widget to show reviews only nearby? Currently it appears any new review is at the top from anywhere. Reviews not in proximity seem useless to a user that isn’t nearby. Is there a way to fix that or a way to call reviews by location outside of the widget?

There is no setting for that, but I will get the developers to look at your question too. Thanks

It would be nice to have a shortcode call the same way the listings shortcode is to add the ability for location/city:

    [gd_listings post_type=”gd_place” layout=1 category=”1″ post_number=”5″ character_count=”125″ list_sort=”high_review”]

to include location=”” and be able to call one of your locations.

I know there is add_location_filter but actually picking the location would be nice.

Only show reviews in the location of the user. “Nearby the user”. The original question.

That again goes against what i said, “we will not show different content depending on factors that are not in the url” it breaks caching and makes it incompatible with many hosting solutions such as wp engine and godaddy wp hosting…

Content can only change depending on url parameters.
