    Hello,

    I have BBpress and Buddypress and Buddypress Integration installed with GDF Modern theme.

    On the forums page the forum text is a bit small (and I have good eyesight) – I can’t find any settings anywhere that will allow me to enlarge the text size without affecting text size throughout the rest of the site (or even on the same page: it is just the actual forum block, from Forum Topics Posts Freshness downwards and including forum titles, that I want to enlarge).

    Is this possible without getting into changing code (I can do this if guided!)

    Thanks

    Really not a GD support question but I’ve done this for another site anyway, so her goes. Add this to your CSS

    #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-lead-topic, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-topics, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-forums, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-replies, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-search-results {font-size: 14px;}

    Thanks Guust,

    It didn’t enlarge all of the elements but I’m having a play around with this now (I appreciate the fishing rod to accompany the fish!)

    This is a good learning exercise for me, but tell me: is the CSS file unaffected by theme upgrades? I don’t want to lose these changes at some point unexpectedly.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

    If you are using a child theme, then the CSS will be preserved.
    If you are not using a child theme, you should 🙂

    I was about to do this (using one-click child theme plugin), but apparently wordpress does not support ‘grandchild’ themes – I understand GDF modern is a child of GDF?

    Yes, GDF Modern is a child theme, so you should be fine if that is what you are using.

    Does that mean that GDF Modern won’t be upgraded – or that if it is I won’t lose the custom CSS I have coded?

    It means that the GeoDirectory Framework will be upgraded as required, but not GDF Modern (there is no need, it is a child theme).
    So you will NOT loose your CSS you add to the child theme’s style.css.

    That’s great – thanks Guust.
