    Why do I get the above error immediately after activating the the geodirectiry plugin?

    Hello,

    another member recently reported this issue; they had a 3rd party plugin that they were using to create shortlinks for their pages, additional permalinks.

    You can try disabling your non-GD plugins to find out which might be conflicting with GD.
