    Hi

I am new to GeoDirectory. Just trying to get my head around it. I think I am getting there but just stumbled across the plan to launch a beta of V2 in the very near future. As I haven’t actually done much but plan, should I hold on 10 days for V2 or just crack on and migrate across? If it is the former, should I request a refund on V1 (within my 30 days) and then re-subscribe to V2 when it is launched?

Either way, I believe GD is going to be a big part of my site’s future. I just need to know which path to travel down.

    Thanks
    Rob

I think if you just set things up using all the built-in options, the future conversion will not be a problem. Issues will only arise if you have implemented some custom coding.
Be aware too that the first version will only be a beta version, which allows for people to test and report any remaining bugs, but generally should not be used on a live site yet.

I’ll get Stiofan to have a look at your question too. Thanks

    What Guust said ^
You can start adding info with GDv1, once GDv2 is out of beta there will be a conversion process, the biggest changes will be with the widget areas, you will just have to move a few widgets about.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
