The signup page is created by GeoDirectory at this URL

http://yoursite.com/?geodir_signup=true

example:

http://wpgeo.directory/?geodir_signup=true

Which is where the add listing form redirects non logged in users.

However on your website that URL doesn’t seems to be able to bring up the sign up page for some reason.

The problem could be caused by a plugin or the theme, so I’d need to quickly switch theme back and forth and try to deactivate all non GD plugins to see if we find the culprit.

Once we know if the problem is in the theme or in one of the plugins, we can find a solution.

it’s definitely the theme, because if I activate 2015 the signup page works as expected.

It seems to be the visual editor use on the homepage that is messing with this, can you ask headway how we can disable this so we can do something like

if($_REQUEST['geodir_signup'] && !is_admin()){
remove_action('init','headway-stuff',10);
}

yes you can redirect the GD sign up page to any page you want and use a 3rd party plugin on the chosen page, to let users signup or login.

Please ask to the theme author if there is anyway to remove the visual editor conditionally with a function.

That is not an actual page, but if you can remove it with an option, you should be able to remove it with a function too. If the developer of the theme is kind enough to give a little assistance, it can be done…
