Meta for Search Results page

    We need to setup meta description for the search results page.

    This search results page should include the following meta info:
    1) Category
    2) Location

    Our old website is: http://www.theweddingcommunity.com/Wedding-Directory/Wedding-Cakes/Avon See meta there shows both “Wedding Cakes” and also “Avon”(a location in the UK).

    The new site , built in GeoDirectory is at: http://dchtest.co.uk/wedding-directory-search/bridal-boutiques/avon but no meta there at the moment.

    Where can we do this?

    Hello,

    Are you referring to the text on the site like:

    “Wedding Cakes Avon” and “You searched for Wedding Cakes in and serving Avon.”

    Is that what you mean by meta?

    Those settings are described here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/#variables

    That is a listing page title so you will want to look at those particular settings in the screenshot attached.

    If they are not displayed you will need to contact your theme developer to see if displaying the title on those archive type pages is part of the theme or not.

    Please reply with your site login URL and WP Admin credentials so we can review the settings for your titles and metas. This could be an issue to take up with your theme developer if your settings are correct, but let’s check them first.

    Indeed thats what I’m looking for!

    But I added those details like : %%in_location%% but when I review my page those meta don’t seem to be showing. I also did the same in Yoast and seems the same applies…

    See my screenshots. Can you fix it for me if I give you the login? Can I pay you to do it? If so how much?

    All that said, let’s figure out what the issue is here. Please make a private reply to this topic and include your WP login URL along with a fresh WP Admin account (username GDSupport or something like that and any password). Someone on our team can then login to check your settings and we can narrow down what the issue is.
