City Name Changes After Setting Address

Hello
Have an issue where after we set the address for a new location the city name changes to a town that shares the same zip-code.

Is there a setting in admin that can keep that from occuring?

Thanks for your reply. Could you try pinpointing it using the Latitude and Longitude positioning and see if the address is correct?

Sure thing. The address is correct with Lon and Lad. However we have a variety of users that plug in these new locations. Ideally we’d like to ensure that whatever town/city they enter doesn’t auto-adjust to another town/city that shares the same zip-code.

Normally that doesn’t happen and this is very strange, because the Google Autocompleter has the right information.

The developers will check what is going on with this particular case and they will let us know asap why it is behaving like that. Please let us know if you see any other similar issues.

Yes I could on our demo with the starter theme as shown here:

The autocompleter shows the correct city, but after selecting it it changes the city to East Alton.

In any case if you check on Google Maps that address is not in East Alton either. The API is returning something wrong…

apparently Google Maps consider Cottage Hills a neighborhood of the city East Alton.

Not much we can do about that unfortunately.
