    Hi,
    I have created a recent geodirectory site: http://www.hirehomeservice.com

    When some one new comes to my site and tries to add a new listing and clicks on “ADD HOME SERVICE”, they are automatically taken to a sign in screen, there should also be a “Signup Now” screen next to it, but there is no sign up screen.

    How come I don’t have the “Sign up Now” option when some one new tries to enter a new listing?

    It may just be a configuration issue with wordpress but I can’t seem to find where to enable this, can you help?

    Hi rigots,

    Thanks for your post. Before we inspect your Website backend, could you please check and see if you’ve enabled this option in WP > Settings > General > Membership. If that doesn’t work, kindly share WP admin access in private reply.

    Hi Kor,
    I am getting closer by enabling WP > Settings > General > Membership. Now I see the option to sign up but there is an issue with the re-CAPTCHA, I see read warning under the sign up windows that says “Error”.
    I created the “Site Key” and “Secret Key” and entered them both on my Geodirectory -> re-Captcha Settings but the error still there, can you take a look, I will provide admin access.

    Please try generating a new API key following the instructions here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-recaptcha-add-on-overview/ and see if it helps.

    Thank you.
    I deleted the keys and created new keys and it is working now.

    The only issue that I see it that it does not allow users to enter a password, it instead emails a default password to them.

    I looked through wordpress settings and could not find a setting to let the user create their own password when they register.

    Do I need to install a plugin for this? if so, which plugin?

    There are GD Settings for the password at:

    Geodirectory – General – Allow user to choose own password

    You can also use our UsersWP plugin to show nice profiles and manage custom fields in the register and accounts forms. https://userswp.io
