Permalinks adding number suffix

Hi,
I am unsure how to work around this but some of my place categories are adding a number suffix. For example category reception has a slug of reception-1
I have no pages, posts or images with the same name so the slug is not conflicting.
I even change the name to something totally unique and it still adds the number suffix.

Can you advise. Thanks.
