    When I try to add a place category it requires that I upload a icon. Do I have to upload all my own icons? I have installed the marker cluster and the google maps. Any suggestions?

    If you install the dummy data, a few markers will be added to your media, so you could use them. But, yes, somehow you will need to tell each category what icon to use. See also

    Hi

    you can use the standard icons provided with the WPGD Plugin and make a selection wich Category needs wich icon. For example a glass for Bars and Pubs or cutlery for a complete main category Food and drinks, whatever you prefer.

    You can use one icon for a category and the child categories or a different icon for each but in this case you don´t have enough choice and you need to buy your own icons or find free marker libraries.
