    Hi,

I see you can now easily customise the tabs of listings in v2. Is it also possible to group fields together on one tab? Because I can only find the option to create a new tab for each field, which doesn’t make much sense when dealing with small fields like a checkbox.

What I would like is to create a number of fields (say 5 checkboxes) and list them together on one tab with a V or X next to it depending on their value. Is this possible with the current interface, or does it require custom coding?

    thanks
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Yes, simply stack them under it with an indent, exactly like the WP menu system 🙂

    Thanks,

    1. Create your custom fields
    2. Create your tab using a fieldset
    3. Drag your new fields and nest them under the fieldset.

    Thanks

Thanks! That worked perfectly. Never would have guessed that.

I do notice at “Custom Fields” tab under Places, there are three categories:
    -Standard Fields
    -Predefined Fields
    -Custom Fields

I’m not sure what the purpose of that third category is? It remains empty even if I do create a new field using a standard fields box and add it to a place.

The last category is for creating your own type of custom field:

    thanks for clarifying.

Now, I was looking into displaying the Logo in the frontend, as it was not automatically showing (using the TwentySeventeen theme). First, I assumed I could add a shortcode to the detail page, but couldn’t find a corresponding shortcode. Is there one?

Then, I looked into the mechanism “show in extra output location”, which is a bit confusing. I added “Details Page Sidebar” to the logo field, assuming the image would appear in the “Output Location” widget, but that’s not the case either. how should this work?

“Details Page Sidebar” is in the sidebar of the detail page, no widget required.
