GD 2.0.0.18, GDLM 2.0.0.2-beta, Genesis Starter Custom Child Theme

If sorting option “Is featured?” is activated and set as “Default sort” then in Places the sorting is not working = Default sort for “Is featured?” is not working. And I cannot sort for “Is featured?” at all.

Only if sorting option “Is featured?” is NOT set as default sort, then sorting is working fine.
But I want to sort for “Is featured?” as default.

I want ONLY sort by “Is featured” always, without other sorting options, how to remove the sorting drop down?

After the “Featured” listings then it should show the listings with pictures first and then all the rest. How can I do this?

    Thanks a lot, Marc

    I had this before:
    https://github.com/AyeCode/geodirectory/issues/270

Was declined. I also like to have sorting defined and not changable for the user (not visible).

But you are right. The sorting is doing whatever it likes. Cannot determine what it is doing.

    It is broken.

For a business directory it’s important to show the paying customers (featured) listings first and to be very flexible in sorting (not changeable by users).

    E.g.
In my directory I will have 3 different pricing packages (free, standard, top)

So I need to show first the “top”, then the “standard”, then the “free” listings.
Within a pricing category the listings should show randomly (every time different), but the order should always be like this: 1. top, 2. standard, 3. free.

How to do this? Will this be possible with the Pricing Manager V2?

    Thanks!

I’m not getting it to work as I need. I like to define the sorting in “Featured”, but don’t like to show it to the user.
    How to achive this?

    CSS display:none

display:none is a bad solution and no option for me. Why first generate it and then hide it? Does not make sense.
Also SEO will not like it!

Are the “old” (GDv1) hooks still there?

    U can remove the

    [gd_loop_actions]

from the GD Archive page but u lose the view selector also, or u can replace the loop/actions.php template in ur child theme and remove that specific function.

Is there still the filter to change the SELECT query?
