Lack of Integration?

    Hi all,

    this is not a “info request message” but it concerns some features of geodirectory.
    I think that a platform like GeoDirectory that creates “listings” with a geolocalization and that is fully compatible with WPML and BuddyPress (also integrated), should have some Basic (not secondary) features implemented:

    -Info on the user avatar about last reviews, posts, and forum activities
    – Comments on a listing should be visible in all the languages and not only in the current selected language (like all the social and trip-advisor like sites)
    – In a comment, the user could choose a custom title for it

    i know that there is a dedicated form in the site for suggest new features (these are already sugested), but it seems that these ones sound as a lack of the integration with Buddypress and WPML.

    Hi,

    1) We didn’t add them below the avatar, but in each profile page. We don’t add them below the avatar to avoid slowing down too much pages with many reviews. Adding these info would mean adding a lot more db queries for each new comment.

    2) WPML doesn’t allow that. The problem isn’t how GD integrate with it.

    3) WordPress doesn’t natively provide a comment title. This could be a good feature request, but you are the 1st to request such thing, your opinion for us is important, but we only cahnge/add things when they are requested by a large number of users. Not only 1.

    You could always have similar things added for you by any developer. But that would be part of your project, like adding locations, categories and listings.
