How can I expand the radius of my default location? I am in Nosara Costa Rica and there are no address here really. I keep getting an error when I place my pins telling me I am outside of the city location.

Is this something that the locations manager can handle? I don’t want to buy it if I am not able to expand this basic location radius.

With the location manager, you will be able to add listings in any location, so that will solve your problem. Thanks

I bought the entire package for 1 year.
    I installed the Location Manager.

This did not solve my problem.
I cannot place location PINS outside of the “Nosara City” location that GeoDir has set.
How exaclty in my Dashboard do I remove the City restriction, or expand the area to what I need?

Please keep in mind, my Directory is in an area that:
    1) has no Grid addresses (no street addresses)
    2) has not street names
    3) has no functioning zip code

I am off GRID, as are all the businesses here.

    Thank you,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for your reply. Could you share your WP admin here in private reply so that I could check your GD Setup?

    Thanks!

Please test the login details before posting again, I still get “Invalid Username/Password.”
It looks like you have not installed or activated Location Manager yet.

    Thanks

You can not use V2 development plugins with the stable V1 plugins.
I replaced your V2 location manager with the V1 version.
    Please check now.
    Thanks

    Hello,

I did check your changes to my configuration. And please know that I purchased your plugins two days ago and have never seen or used them before.

I loaded the plugins and tried to use them. I have no idea of the indiosyncracies of your plugins and it seems I will be counting on GD Support to get my site operational.

I did try to locate PINs manually, as you directed.
I can now place the PINS, but I cannot Update my Places.
Your form is demanding the fields be populated (see attached file).
This data does not exist. There is NO city name, There are NO addresses in my area.

Please give me a configuration or work around to get past this problem.

And the process must work flawlessly because hundreds of local businesses will be placing their own Pins when they list their Places in my GD.

    My thanks
    Alex

PS:Custom Google Maps plugin was not working yesterday. It would not preview any modifications. If related.

Drag the marker to the correct spot and all the addresses will be filled in.
Or start entering an address in the address field, see image.

    Thanks

Yes, I moved the map pin and sometimes it auto-populates an “address” for the location.

In the case of my ocean front property, it loads my Post Office Box in the town of Nosara, because that is all you can provide to Google Business when you register a location here with Google Maps. So, that is not a street address. It is a mailing address.

What is important to me is the placement of the Pin, not the address, so I can proceed now to build out Places.

    Thank you Guust.

    Alex
