    Hello,

    I see what you mean, there.

    I will flag your question for the developers, about the shortcode to be used on the search page to allow it to be blank at the base search page, but then show the results.

    You can also:

    1. Use map cache – GD – Settings – General – General – Enable map cache
    2. Wait for Marker Cluster addon to come out – a great way to improve performance, coming soon.

    GD is not ready for production sites yet, it is still in RC and some addons and themes are in Beta.
