    Hello,

    Add listing registration form does not log users in all the way

    I am trying out the option to allow users to register on the add-listing form.

    When I try this, to add a free listing, the user is registered, but then is not logged in.

    So, they proceed to submit the listing, and then can see the listing, and the listing shows an EDIT button, but if you click it the form is blank.

    Further, things like BP links ‘know’ that the user is not logged in, but GD is acting like the user is logged in.

    It is like a ‘in between state’.

    Can you bring some clarity to how this is supposed to work?

    I guess this may be an issue with Buddypress which requires activation before creating a user.
    With UsersWP you have extra registration options, and the requirement for activation can be turned off.
    It seems logic that you can not require activation and automatic registration at the same time.

    I’ll get a developer to have a look at your question too.

    Hi Alex,

    The author actions should not show on the preview page, they will not show in the next version.

    For user registration we deliberately were registering the user silently and not logging them in, i’ll need to do some testing with BP though.

    Hi Alex,

    I see its not creating a user on your site, i have tried to replicate on my site but it all works ok :/

    Have u got any non standard settings going on or can you try disabling a few unneeded plugins to test?
