Hi,
I have set up permalinks like: /events/music/london/postname/ this is working really nice however if I remove “postname” ( /events/music/london/ ) I expected a list of music-events from london but from what I can tell it lists music-events from all cities?
How can I list links to cities that leads to a the list of music events for a certain city?
For instance, /events/music/ lists music events for all cities…the sidebar shows a list of city-links to narrow down the list to only include music events from one cityThanks!
December 4, 2018 at 11:21 am #457036On my test site I always get
/events/listings/music/united-kingdom/greater-london/london/I was not expecting the /listings/ to be added. I’ll get the developers to have a closer look.
Can you please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply?
Thanks
December 4, 2018 at 11:57 am #457044Hi anders,
Listing detail page and listing archive page has different url structures. You should click on category from detail page or from breadcrumb(if exists on page) to filter the listings in current listing’s location.

What was the problem?
…when I have clicked a category, how can I list cities that are available under that category? for example all cities that has upcoming shows under the music-category…clicking a city will list all music-events from that city
Thanks!
December 7, 2018 at 9:25 am #457441Hello,
What was the problem?
There was a minor bug in permalinks for city + category. We have fixed it.
how can I list cities that are available under that category?
There are GeoDirectory widgets “GD > Locations” & “GD > Categories”. GD > Locations shows all the locations and “GD > Categories” shows all the categories. You can configure this widgets as per your requirement.

December 7, 2018 at 3:12 pm #457518Thank you,
I have placed a GD > Locations -widget in the GD Sidebar but from what I can tell it shows all cities independent of the category? When a category is clicked we like to show only cities that have upcoming events under that category (with links leading to event list for that category+city example /category/music/stockholm/ ).
There is a checkbox in the widget “Disable location filter?” that I have not checked but it does not seem to have any effect? Thanks!
December 7, 2018 at 11:57 pm #457603The Location widget shows all cities alphabetically, relevant to the country or region in the URL.
If you only want to see events in one of your cities, you should navigate to the city first, and on the location page, you can then add the events on that page.
Or you can use the search too to get all events in a city.
Thanks
December 8, 2018 at 9:44 pm #457702Thank you Guust,
But it works so nice with the /cpt/category/city/ -structure in V2
Is there really no way to filter out links to cities for a certain category ?
…for our purpose it makes much more sense choosing cpt/category first then choosing cityThanks!
December 9, 2018 at 12:19 am #457707The whole system works always on location first, then categories, then listings.
That cannot simply be turned upside down. I’ll get the developers to have a look at your question too, just in case they have anything to add. Thanks
December 10, 2018 at 8:19 am #457817Hello anders,
Categories can be filtered for current viewing location but cities can not be filtered for current viewing category.

December 10, 2018 at 8:45 am #457819Thank you Kiran,
So did you check with the developers?
I was under the impression this would be possible with v2, the basic of our concept is based on choosing category first then city under that categoryThanks!
