Search fields and regions

    Hi
    I have a query please. When I search using the Region option my places don’t appear. Is there a setting I am missing?

    If I just type the county name if gives me a ‘Region’ option that doesn’t link to any listings.

    Is there a listing in the region?

    If there are then its a bug.

    If a listing was in the region before but has been moved out of it, you can use the functionality in Multilocations to merge cities to eliminate cities (amd their regions) without listings so they don’t show on the site.

    Hi Alex,
    The region is the same as county. I have a Region called Wicklow and County Wicklow. The Co Wicklow works but the Wicklow Region doesn’t. Is it possible to stop ‘region’ appearing in the search window? Please see the region option in orange in the previous image.

    If a listing was in the region before but has been moved out of it, you can use the functionality in Multilocations to merge cities to eliminate cities (amd their regions) without listings so they don’t show on the site.

    It is not possible to set which part of the location is used in the Near search field autocomplete, so, merging locations and removing unwanted ones is important.

    Hopefully people will use the map. I can’t figure that one out yet.

    Can you tell me why the magnifying glass icon is missing off the search button please?

    That could be a Fontawesome issue. Make sure you have updated GD Addons and themes to the latest version. If the issue persists you can find options in WP – Settings – Font Awesome
