Hi, we have been setting up the whole site structure with the V2 version using the “directory starter theme” for the time being. In its widget área it has one área named “sidebar page área” where all the widgets are placed that one wants to publish on the Detailed listing page” (autor actions, output location, dashboard and map). So all worked fine.
Then we bought the Genesis framework, and changed the theme to Geo Travel. This theme seems to lack such a sidebar page área that shows the content of the details of the listing page? Or which one should I fill with widget ítems that go with the details of the listing….Right now the primary sidebar with all default widgets is shown.
The demo of the Geo Travel has a nice login page with on the left side login and on the right side “register” in case you are not a member. Those seem to be widget áreas. Which page does have these widget áreas? Anyone of the automatically generated pages should have them?
THanks for your help. Happy new year
January 3, 2019 at 1:54 am #461225Hello,
apologies, your topics were sent to spam. I have unspammed this one.
January 3, 2019 at 1:58 am #461226Directory Starter and Supreme Directory are the only GD themes that are ready for V2. Others are on the list for update but we haven’t gotten there yet.
You can also use other 3rd party themes, just pick the one you like. Only GD themes contain special integrations that need an update.
I cannot answer your question because the results of using one of the other themes will be unpredictable as they are not ready for GDV2.
January 3, 2019 at 2:17 am #461230Hi Alex, thanks for your quick reply and saving my question from spam.
Would you have an estimation of time frame when we would be able to use Geo Travel? Thanks

January 3, 2019 at 4:01 pm #461323Hi Alex,
So now we decided to use Supreme directory. But I get the same problem.
Detail items are not showing from listings.
Please have a look at http://www.globaldutchies.nl/accommodaties/netherlands/curacao/willemstad/prive-huis-curacao/it does show for every place the same default image, and does not show the details of the listing in the right sidebar.
Ik have all “external” plugiins deactivated (the ones that are not part of geo directory). Thanks very much for your help

January 5, 2019 at 3:33 pm #461699Hi
Thanks for sending the FAQ. I have read it all, especially the short codes come in handy. By the way, compliments for everything and the enormous amount of possibilities geodirectory is offering.I had it all working with the Directory starter theme.. See the print screen attached.
I tried to install everything on a different test domain name. Same result, no sidebar is showing.
I tried to add another widget to the Sidebar page area. Its a text widget. It does not show.I tried to see if changes to the GD Details page would make a difference (add a featured image, or change the template) None of them made a difference.
I have checked the geodirectory > settings. All seems ok.
I have checked the Places – Settings – Custom Fields – Tags (field). All seems ok. Output is there where it should be.I deleted the genesis framework and the geotravel theme just to be sure that this is not causing the problem. I wanted to delete “directroy starter” theme also, but there is no delete button.
I just found out that the text widget that I added to the Sidebar page area, is showing on the pages with the default sidebar (see attached image) But..this default sidebar does not exist with the supreme theme. The content is from a sidebar from the Directory starter theme.
I get the feeling there is a hopeless mix up of things of both themes.
I hope this info helps you to figure out where to locate the problem.
Thanks for your help
