Add "Register Link" to "Add Place" page

    When you click on the link to Add Place, it just says you must first login to post. You can see on this page here: https://shophawaii.me/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place

    How can we add the ability for someone who has not yet registered to be able to register to then add their listing? Please explain.

    You can add a link to the wordpress login page which is /wp-login.php
    Make sure you have checked the setting to allow “Anyone can register” at
    WP – Settings – General

    Hi Alex,

    When I login to edit the Add Place page…i’m seeing these two shortcodes:

    [gd_notifications]
    [gd_add_listing]

    Is there one that I can add for Registering if they have not yet registered and logged in?

    No, GDV2 does not provide any login or registration forms.
    What you can do is send users to your site’s login form, with a redirection to the add listing page. To do that you make a custom link like

    http://mysite.com/login?redirect_to=https://mysite.com/add-listing

    I clicked on that link and it took me a page that says…”
    Page Not Found – 404 Error Page
    The page you are looking for (http://mysite.com/login) is not here.    ”

    Is this not a GD registration form…? https://shophawaii.me/register/

    Yes, but that is provided by UsersWp, not GeoDirectory.

    mysite.com doesn’t exist, you should replace that with a URL of yours.

    I created this link here http://shophawaii.me/login?redirect_to=https://shophawaii.me/add-listing and it does take you to login page and has a link to create an account below it.

    I think this will work….I’m just confused (and/or exhausted from lack of sleep) about how you are saying here….”send users to your site’s login form, with a redirection to the add listing page.”

    Can you please elaborate or explain a little more?

    It sounds like you have a solution, though, and GeoDirectory V2 leaves the login/register forms to other plugins like UsersWP, so if you have additional issues with login or register please report them at https://userswp.io/support
