Hi support team,
Google Adsense deactivation + WordPress Tagline is missing
For any reason, there are google ads displayed on my page and the text of the tagline in header is missing. Screenshot > https://www.screencast.com/t/DmSfwSZ3ef
Are you may able to help me to find out how to delete Google ads and re-activate the tagline in wordpress pages again.
I have checked the chield theme code within header section and also the GD settings > design if there is any script code to be found regarding googleadsence but cannot find anything suspicious AND I have also checked my CSS settings to find out if the wordpress tagline is set to none, which I also not found.
I would appreciate your helping hands to get it back to run.
January 20, 2019 at 8:32 pm #464312You will need to check your theme files for logo_tagline
This is outside of what we can help you with here in GeoDirectory support.January 20, 2019 at 9:35 pm #464317This reply has been marked as private.January 21, 2019 at 6:49 am #464374Hi Guust,
first of. Thanks for letting me know.
– About GDF 1.2.8 and Child Theme 1.0
I have now already downloaded both files from member download area and added those new within /wp-content/themes/ folder. But the issue is still the same while opening the gd-homepage.
Screenshot > https://www.screencast.com/t/h0SqMsCNmN– about the infected site or malicious files
yes you are right it seems that I have problems with this as some files differ and added some other files too within my installation. Let me try your sucuri scanner to find out more.
As soon I get news from the sucuri sanner I’ll let you know– about the tagline not displaying problem
I am not sure where to act. Any advice would again be helpfulSo far from me.
Best, AlexJanuary 21, 2019 at 10:31 am #464395Make sure to delete all existing theme files, before replacing with the current clean files.
Once all is clean, and the problem persists, let us know.January 23, 2019 at 7:27 pm #465061Hi Guust,
I guess I could solve the Google Adsense deactivation part
as I had to delete malicious files by using the plugin Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall. FYI: Your plugin suggestion of sucuri has caused a huge email subission problem right after its activation. Even wp Cerber Security or wordfence was not able to find and delete the malicious code. The only open thing by now is the point of tagline not displaying on pages
Screen shot > https://www.screencast.com/t/AYLQLzg2Any ideas why the tagline is not displayed or maybe deactivated within css settings and cannot find?
Best, Alex
January 24, 2019 at 10:05 am #465163The tagline only shows if the logo has not been loaded, when the text logo displays.

January 31, 2019 at 9:02 pm #466510You can use a plugin like Better Search Replace to look for styles that appear in the code, or scan files for those same classes.
If you switch themes does the code still appear?
January 31, 2019 at 9:03 pm #466511We are trying to be helpful, but this is not a GD issue. If you need hands on help with this you are going to need to hire an expert. A fullstack expert should be able to help you:
February 4, 2019 at 7:35 am #466868Hmm – I have tried now also by install wordpress core new with coresponding core gd plugin with related themes geodirectory.1.6.37, GDF_child_1.0.0 still without positive effect.
Do you have any other ideas to help me?

just to let you know. We found out that someone has dropped html code into the widget area and that has caused the google adsense problem. So we adjusted that to our own Adsense ID to make sure to use now in own way.
The only open thing is still the missing tagline in sub-pages. Maybe in case of unknown css code in use.
Maybe you still have a suggestion to solve that too.
Best, Alex
