Very strange, all I did was delete a member who did not as far as I know create any custom fields, it was me the admin who made them all, then I created a new sub site …yet somehow they have all disapeared and all im left with is the listings with only a title and content, no custom fields on the listing or listing images.Damn!
February 11, 2019 at 10:26 pm #468344Just noticed also that there is no map when I try to add a new community, so very strange as far as I can tell the rest of my site is ok its just geodirectory lost its tables!
February 11, 2019 at 10:32 pm #468347Whoah!
Are the plugins still installed?February 11, 2019 at 10:57 pm #468353Yep all installed and activated!
February 11, 2019 at 10:58 pm #468354now kicking myself for having not backed up often enough! how do database tables just disapear when ive been nowhere near them ? lol
February 12, 2019 at 9:17 am #468393Ok, I had hoped this issue was just my hosting being wierd but that information in the tables are not there, I guess my only option is to go back to my old backup sql file and import in sections the data ?
Thanks
RikiFebruary 12, 2019 at 10:27 am #468420Hello Riki,
GeoDirectory plugins database tables are deleted during plugin uninstall when “Uninstall data” ticked under Uninstall settings. There is no other way to delete database tables from GeoDirectory plugin.
Please provide site link and admin, FTP credentials so i can check there. Also provide phpMyAdmin database access so i can check database structure & data as well.

February 12, 2019 at 12:17 pm #468459Hello,
This is very strange!
Did you took backup before deleting a site or deleting a a user? If you have then try to restore it.Let us know.
Thanks,
KiranFebruary 12, 2019 at 12:22 pm #468463No I did not and I know that was stupid! lol but I have one in last couple of weeks 🙂
Yes it is strange, I can only guess that there was an issue when I created that sub site as its a multisite network.
Nevermind, we must move on I will recreate my database but do you know how is best to do it ?I can either delete all tables and restore all geodir tables from the sql file, or I can empty the tables for custom fields etc and manualy add that data back into the pre existing tables.
The only diference about my backup is that its from an older Beta version and I am now on the current version!
February 12, 2019 at 12:51 pm #468478You shouldn’t have any issues with older tables and a newer version of GDV2, as long as it is GDV2. If the tables are GDV1 then the converter will need to be run again.
Our support goes as far as “It sounds like restoring from a backup is a good option” but how you restore is going to have to be up to you.
February 12, 2019 at 2:47 pm #468510Yes I thought so much, ok well I will recover my backup file in sections I recon and see how it works.
Thanks for your help people!
