We just started using this plugin and purchased the full license with all addons.

Please tell me why the 2 test places we’ve created and published are not accessible from the front end. For instance, we created https://floralgreensfarmersofflorida.com/places/blalock-foliage/ as a test “Place” based in Apopka, Florida. The correct address etc was added along with their logo. It looks great if you take a look here on our search page.

Try clicking on the place link in the search page, or using the search function to find a “place” near Apopka Florida. And you either get a 404 error or a blank page.

Getting a bit frustrated as I’ve tried to fix this for over an hour. Not the easiest initial setup.

I have cleared cache etc btw.

Please do try our getting started docs, linked from the setup wizard:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

Sounds like you might need to resave permalinks:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/#404

If that isn’t the issue we would be happy to take a look. You can make a private reply and include WP Admin login credentials.

    Thanks

The permalink fix worked and now 404 errors aren’t an issue.

The search is still not working at all. I went through the wizard but nothing seems to fix the search issue.

I can’t believe this is how hard it is to get your plugin working… Never before have I had to patch from Github in the first week of purchasing a premium priced plugin. Also, why couldn’t you test this solution while you were logged in as admin? This has been very time-consuming.

The new version fixed a lot of issues. I went and bought Genesis framework thinking that’s the only way for me to use GD. Now it works great with my prefered theme, Astra… school fees I guess.

You guys should consider sharing a job board with users so we can see future release timelines and avoid this sort of thing.
