Shortcode displaying event recurring date and time

We are using v2 add-ons. In building the events archive, I used [gd_post_meta key=’event_dates’ show=’icon-value’] to display the date of the event. But for events with recurring dates, this shortcode displays everything which makes the archive too long. I cannot find a key that displays only the first date. In v1 in think the archives used to show only the first date of recurring events.
