Still no way to not show past events in v2?

Using this shortcode in the detail tab:

[gd_linked_posts link_type=”from” post_type=”gd_event” sort_by=”event_dates_asc” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”list” post_limit=”1000″]

… the past events from 2018 are still showing in the venue detail. They should not be as they are useless info that just clutter the detail page, and add to page size.

There seems to be a filter that removes past events from the listing archive, and that works if activated from the settings. Why can’t it be done the same for the linked events?
