    Hi there,

I am having trouble with Geodirecotry and advance search addon that i bought from you. I am trying to customize the GeoDirectory search bar. Let me first describe what I am trying to build.

I need to have a search page with only one search text field which will search only for matches in the post titles. I dont need any location matches or anything else. However, I need to search the post titles of ‘Places’ which was added to my WP panel after installing GeoDirectory plugin. I dont want any search in the default wordpress posts.
I have also created some categories, through the Places tab in the WP panel. I need to have a list of my 3 categories and when I click one fo them, I need to fetch all the posts related to this category.
After fetching the category related data, I want to use the search described at the top of the post to “filter” the search results and low the result set.

So, is this possible? I have also bought Advance Search Add-on. If this is not possible is there any add-on that will make it possible? If not what can I do for it? Alternatives?

    Regards,
    Demetris

    Hi Demetris,

Thanks for your post. Could you check out this section of the documentation and see if it’s what you’re looking for?

    Thanks!

Hi again, thank you for answering so fast. Let me inform you about what I am currently seeing in the menu options.

Going at the GD Places Seetings, in the custom fields I can not find what you are describing in the documentation. Please take a look at the following images and reply back. Am I having an old version? (I am using version 2 of both Geodirectory and advance search). What is going wrong?

    Hi Demetris,

Thanks for your reply. For GDv2, you need to refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/advanced-search/#cpt . I hope it helps.
