Hi, I am trying to make the search page look the way I want it to. The default was completely stretched (full width) and I want it to be formatted the exact same way as I made the /events page.
However, when I started updating the default search page in Elementor, the page works if you go to /search but does not work if you actually try to search for an event on /events
I just get a blank page once I click enter on the /events page.
April 8, 2019 at 10:49 am #4791862nd issue – how do I stylize and design (with Elementor preferably) each individual event page?
April 8, 2019 at 12:19 pm #479198Hello,
for the search page you will need Elementor pro to assign the page to the search archive.
for width of ayouts/templates or include/exclude sidebars, those are part of your theme or depend on the page builder settings.
For the small listing excerpts you can edit the archive item. See this video for more info:

April 8, 2019 at 4:14 pm #479254I have already assigned a search page to Elementor Pro. If you go to http://www.thevintagewomanmagazine.com/events and then type anything into the search bar and press enter – you get a completely blank page.
Also, the GD Details page allows me to edit in Elementor but nothing updates on the front end.
Seems like both of these pages have the same issue.

April 16, 2019 at 11:15 pm #481212Hello,
You will need to use the Elementor Theme Builder feature for the Archive, Detail, and Search page templates. Currently you are only using it for the events cpt archive.
April 17, 2019 at 12:58 pm #481344Sorry… what exactly does that mean I need to do?
April 17, 2019 at 3:32 pm #481392You can see more about the theme builder in the elementor site:
https://elementor.com/theme-builder/April 18, 2019 at 7:07 am #481523I know how to use the theme builder in Elementor and I understand that there are pages that are pre set up. There are default pages for the Single Event page, the Events page, etc. I have gone through these pages and it doesn’t see that there is a way to make a default page for the search area. Can someone please assist on this?
April 18, 2019 at 12:01 pm #481547When you make the Elementor template you have to set it for Archive and then Search. It will then take over GD Search and also site search. We have not found a workaround for that yet.
April 19, 2019 at 9:10 am #481729Hi have already done that. That is my problem – it is not working.
If you go to http://thevintagewomanmagazine.com/events/
and search for anything with the search bar you get a blank page. Can someone please help me with this. This is exactly what I said was going on in the first message. It is not working.
April 19, 2019 at 12:33 pm #481771It could be because your search layout is set to draft.
Try working on that and let us know how it goes.April 19, 2019 at 2:14 pm #481796This reply has been marked as private. -
