Somehow a listing was approved and featured even on my site. But, I did not approve this and they are not paying.

Could someone please help me understand how this happened and help me prevent it from happening. This is a site that was recently converted from V1 to V2.
I went ahead and made the listing “draft” for now.

April 18, 2019 at 5:44 pm #481604Featured is set to admin only yet somehow they have it checked.
April 19, 2019 at 12:08 am #481662Invoice 01456 says the invoice was paid, using “test payment” gateway.
The listing is on a free package. The Featured field is set to “unchecked” by default, and “Admin Only”, and is allowed on all packages: https://veganlinked.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=gd_food&page=gd_food-settings&tab=general
So it really should not be shown on the Add Listing page: https://veganlinked.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_food&package_id=20
I cannot replicate this in my test site. I’ll get Kiran to have a closer look.

April 19, 2019 at 2:09 pm #481795Hello Jeff,
If “Featured” is not excluded from package from CPT Settings > Packages > Package then listing added under that package will be auto marked as a featured.
If “Featured” field is excluded from package then listing added under that package not marked as a featured.Featured field is visible in frontend add/edit listing form if package has featured field not excluded and user is admin.
Let us know.

April 23, 2019 at 5:38 pm #482363Ah, I just haven’t spent enough time learning my way around the new interface I guess. I didn’t realize the “Exclude Fields” was there.
At first this seems redundant because under the featured field (CPT/Settings/Custom Fields) you select “Show only on these price packages”. Also there I had “Admin only edit” selected. Now that I think about it, this is all cool because I can have the featured field in the basic package as admin only but exclude it from the front end under the Packages tab and this will enable me to manually feature a basic listing from the front end logged in as admin, i guess, lol. Am I understanding this correctly?
Also, I’m still not sure how they were able to approve the listing and have it go public since they’re not admin. I changed it after I noticed it. And why does the invoice say test payment? I haven’t had time to really test everything since the conversion and figure out all the new features. But I feel like that’s all setup right, is it? I attached images to show what I mean.

April 23, 2019 at 5:50 pm #482373Also, for clarification, if a custom field indicates not to show in a package, do I still have to exclude it from the package? I could test this, but I’d have to later, gotta run…

That should be either/or … removing it from a package will update the custom field settings and vice versa.
