Hi,
I have 3 questions regarding archives and categories.
1) I understand that archives are created automatically via CPTs and Categories. Can they be created via tags?
2) Also, is there a way to create archives for 2 categories at the same time? Example under dining, I have categories like types of cuisine, Health Food, Food Deals. So I’d like to create an archive for something like domain.com/healthfood/Japanesecuisine
3) From what I’ve read from the documentation, it seems like the only way to have an archive is to create a category for the group of listings. Because of that, I might have a very large number of categories for a single CPT and I might end up with hundred of CPTs. Will that break the directory?
Thank you so much!

2. You will need to make it custom or use an advanced builder.
3. It is one archive template per CPT, see #1
April 22, 2019 at 5:29 pm #482161Hi. So where can I find the archives created by tags?
So for 3) are you saying that it is ok for me to have hundred of categories?
Also, for 2), do you mean I’d have to get a GD expert to do it?
April 22, 2019 at 6:08 pm #482167Hi Hui Ling,
Thanks for your reply. Please allow me to answer your questions accordingly.
1) You can refer to the screenshot that shows you where to locate your listing tags.
3) Yes, normal to have hundreds of tags or categories.
2) Do you mean you want to display both category and tag on the permalink?
April 23, 2019 at 6:05 am #482214Thanks Kor for your reply. I don’t see a screenshot though.
2) I would like to display multiple category or category+tag in the url. So let’s say my CPT is Dining, my categories are different cuisines eg Japanese food, Chinese food etc. And I have tags like Health Food etc, then there is an archive for healthy Chinese food eg domain.com/dining/Chinesefood/healthyfood
April 23, 2019 at 6:44 am #482223Oh I’ve found the tag archive. Thank you so much! At least now I know it’s possible with tags. But I’m still unsure about part 2)

April 23, 2019 at 11:46 am #482280It is only possible to have one tag or category in the URL.
April 23, 2019 at 11:57 am #482286Ok thanks. But I can get a developer to work on the PHP template to create multiple tags/categories am I right?
April 23, 2019 at 12:41 pm #482305It is open source so you can do anything you like, but we won’t be able to help you with customization.
Something to consider, you can always create landing pages manually with whatever URL you want and feature certain listings using GD Listings.
April 23, 2019 at 1:02 pm #482312Ok thank you so much!
