I’m trying to recreate functionality from V1 using V2 and struggling.

The old GeoDirectory version outputted the following :-

    https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:WbpMxyb00lwJ:https://www.netballscotland.com/bounce-back/session-finder/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

    using these two shortcodes :-

    [gd_cpt_categories post_type=gd_bouncebacksession]
    [gd_popular_post_view list_sort=\”az\” post_number=\”30\” post_type=gd_bouncebacksession layout=1 title=\”\”]

Can anyone point us in the right direction to replicating this functionality?

    Thanks!

    Hi jellyhound,

Thanks for your post. Could you share your Website URL here so that we could check what you’ve done on your end?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

You may want to try out the options for GD Categories, and then GD Popular Post View has been replaced by GD Listings.

Try those out and let us know how it goes

    Hi Kor / Alex,

There’s nothing to see, the code from V1 no longer works with the V2 update thus the link to the cache. The cache has now expired but I saved a screenshot (attached).

We’ve spent a considerable amount of time now trying various shortcodes and experimenting with the options but nothing seems to allow for the kind of bespoke results we are seeing in this screenshot.

    Appreciate the help folks!

    Hi jellyhound,

Thanks for your reply. Your Website looks broken on the screenshot. Not really sure what’s going without inspecting your Website backend. Could you share WP admin access here in private reply so that we could assist you further with this?

    Hello,

It’s great that you achieved that with V1, and to do that with v2, you can try editing the Archive Item template. That is the template that controls how listings show in lists like for a category or tag or in the GD Listings element which is used to show listings in a list for a specific category or tag.
