Events coming up as 404

I just uploaded Geodirectory V2 plus the Location Manager Add On (geodir_location_manager-v2.0.0.15)and the Events Add On (geodir_event_manager-v2.0.0.8).

I installed two of the supplied Dummy entries.

I am getting a 404 page on the live side of each event.

I am a previous user of Events Manager so I made sure I uninstalled that plugin as well as disabling and then deleting the plugin.

I am wondering if the use of a page called events is the culprit? That was used by Events Manager and it’s part of the event listing URL for the new set-up.

I have already switched my permalinks up and moved them back to %postname% (nothing changed).

In an effort to rule out conflicts with the “events” slug being used, I changed the slug to cal-events and I’m still getting the 404 page.

Where do I go from here?
