    We are using v1.

We created the Region “Zürich”, and then the city “Zürich”.

This redundance made that the city has the following slug: “zurich-1”.

We then changed the Region’s name to “Canton of Zürich” and it changed correctly.

But the city keeps with the unwanted slug/permalink of “zurich-1” even if we change it, save it, and rename it to save it again.

Is there any way to change that slug to “zurich” alone?

    Many thanks,

    Hi Manfred,

Thanks for your post. You can refer to the instructions here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/why-do-my-locations-get-a-1-at-the-end/

When a listing is saved, the value for region and city are updated from the Map API you are using.

Maintaining custom regions must be done through merging of locations in

GD – Settings – Locations (tab) – Cities
