Hi – I’ve been on V2 for several weeks now and just completed the latest updates. After doing the updates my pictures in listings for both Places & Events are sort of doubled up in list view and then in the grid views a picture is in the background of the text – making the text very hard to read. This was not doing this before the update – help me fix please! Thank you!

Have you checked the Archive item template?
Does it contain 2 GD Post Images elements?
Let us know, and include wp admin credentials if we need to check the settings.

I just resolved the problem with custom CSS entries that set badge featured display to inline.

Setting the display function to inline hid the sliver of picture as well as taking care of the picture in the background. I’m not sure if this will cause issues anywhere else yet but it fixes my concerns for now.

    Thanks for replying!

Well, I thought I had it. Was working last night when I tested adding new items but this morning it is not. The only way my fix works is to go into each individual posting and create a new CSS entry. Here are the details from Archive Item Template:
    [gd_archive_item_section type=’open’ position=’left’]
    [gd_post_badge key=’featured’ condition=’is_not_empty’ badge=’FEATURED’ bg_color=’#fd4700′ txt_color=’#ffffff’ css_class=’gd-ab-left-angle gd-badge-shadow’]
    [gd_post_images type=’image’ ajax_load=’true’ link_to=’post’ show_logo=’true’]
    [gd_archive_item_section type=’close’ position=’left’]
    [gd_archive_item_section type=’open’ position=’right’]
    [gd_post_title tag=’h2′]
    [gd_author_actions author_page_only=’1′]
    [gd_post_distance]
    [gd_post_rating alignment=’left’ list_hide_secondary=’2′]
    [gd_post_fav show=” alignment=’right’ list_hide_secondary=’2′]
    [gd_post_meta key=’business_hours’ location=’listing’ list_hide_secondary=’2′]
    [gd_output_location location=’listing’]
    [gd_post_content key=’post_content’ limit=’60’ max_height=’120′]
    [gd_archive_item_section type=’close’ position=’right’]

Ok – I rewrote my CSS to fix the issue in List View but when I go to any of the grid views the duplicate pic is back again – it is behind the text info making it nearly impossible to read. I would rather just limit users views to just LIST VIEW. I have been looking at GeoDir Settings and cannot find where I can limit users choice of views. Is there a place that I can make this adjustment?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

you need to hide the view selector with CSS. That is the only way to do it.

    Thanks
