have you tried disabling all non GD Plugins to see if there is a conflict with any of them? You have 46 active plugins.
Let us know,
Thanks
August 15, 2015 at 7:45 pm #49585Hello
I will disable the plugins and see what happens.
Last time I had this issue I had the following response. Not sure if it is the same issue this time?:
Hi Gary,
The code showing was my bad, i have fixed this now.
The images not showing on the preview page was a bug with the new reduced JS, you can fix it by replacing this file in core: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory/blob/master/geodirectory_template_tags.php (EDIT: i have replaced this file for you)
Thanks,
Stiofan

I disabled all non geodir plugins and there was no difference?

August 17, 2015 at 4:39 pm #49749Are you using any modified GeoDirectory templates from within your child theme?
Let us know,
Thanks
August 17, 2015 at 9:43 pm #49798Hello Paolo
This is a weird one. I’m not clear when this issue appeared.
I do have two files in the child folder: styles.css and functions.php. I removed the contents from these, updated the server and this made no difference.
I deactivated the non geodir plugins again and this made no difference.
I have been inspecting the element codes between this site and a test site and can see some CSS coding missing. Not sure if this means anything though.
I hope you can help find the problem. You have been very good helping me with every problem up to now.
You have the site log-in details if this helps. The site is still not in use despite being live on the internet so by all means have a play if need be. I’m looking to advertise once this issue has been resolved.
Thanks for your time on this.

After some investigation i have found that the PHP function “getimagesize” is not returning the height and width of the image from this line:
@list($width, $height) = getimagesize(trim($image));
where $image is the URL of the uploaded image.
Please ask your host to investigate.
Thanks,
Stiofan
August 20, 2015 at 10:36 pm #50184Hello Stiofan
I have gone to the host account and the theme owner and neither can help with the issue.
I guess I’m looking for a rebuild although not clear at this time how to do this.
Are there any other steps I could take first?
Thanks as always for your help.

August 21, 2015 at 3:57 pm #50305Hi,
getimagesize is a PHP function http://php.net/manual/en/function.getimagesize.php it should be working by default in any server where php 4+ is installed.
It is not WordPress, plugin or theme realted. It is PHP/server related.
When using that function on your server to get size of the images in the preview page, the function is returning wrong values, so it must be a server configuration problem.
Only your server admin could solve this, in case he isn’t able to, I know for sure this works as expected in most servers, so I would consider changing hosting provider.
Let us know how you went.
Thanks
August 25, 2015 at 6:23 pm #50825Hello Paolo
My website was suspended over the weekend due to malware. When unsuspended on Monday, the site all worked. However, today the fault with the image was back.
I sent a support ticket to Bluehost, my server provider, this time providing them with more information as in your response. Bluehost responded with..
Usually we do not provide support for coding issues. However, If you need any php requirement(values) to be set, please let us know so that we can set it for you.
As you have been a great help thus far, are there any values or script I can supply to Bluehost?

In this case I believe the malware was the culprit and probably it is back?
I would change WP Admin, Cpanel and FTP password immediately. Make sure the computer you use to connect via FTP to your server is virus free.
Than ask to your host to check for malwares again and revert with a clean back up.
If the malware comes back again, it means the problem could be in the code of a plugin leaving a door open for attacking your website.
Best thing would be to hire a security expert to get to the bottom of this.
The problem is definitely non-GD related.
Thank you
August 26, 2015 at 7:36 am #50880Hello Paolo
Stay with me for a little longer on this.
On where the image is supposed to be seen, I inspected the elements and compared this to a test site which is working. See results attached.
I have highlighted in yellow where the two compare and light blue where they differ.
There appears to be some coding not appearing on the YLC (Yourlocalconnect) site. Is this to do with the issue you have already raised or not an issue at all?
Please advise
Gary
