Directory Listing Pages: Weird Spacing & Sidebar Issues

I’m using GeoDirectory with Newspaper9 Theme and having some problems with spacing on listing pages like this:
http://fellspoint.com/places/category/food/

As you can see random rows of listings are indented or have weird spacing that is different from row to row. I’ve tested this page with other themes and not had this issue, but unfortunately cannot find another theme I like quite as much (I’m open to suggestions/opinions).

It also seems like there is space for a right sidebar but I’d like the content to be full screen. Not sure how/where to remove this invisible sidebar.

I recently updated both this theme and GeoDirectory and wondering if this issue is from fragments left behind?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your post. Could you check your Gd listing page template and see if there is “Full Width Page” template available from your theme. It should look similar as the option here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/directory-starter/#page-templates

When creating a page the only “Page Attributes” listed for templates are “Default Template” and 3 options that start with “Page Builder”. There is no such section for posts.

The Newspaper 9 theme has a section at the bottom of both the Page and Post Add/Edit view that allows me to select a sidebar layout (among other things). I’ve tried both Default and Full Width.

Hi,

Please share FTP in case the developers need it for debugging. They will take a look and find out why the grid view isn’t working on the archives, along with the sidebar controls.

Hi Rob,

I have checked with Newspaper theme and found that theme has no option to apply sidebar on custom post type archive pages.

GD Archive pages are dynamic pages that treated as archive pages for custom post types.

Please contact theme developer if they provide hook to filter sidebars similar they have compatibility added for woocommerce & bbpress.
