I have this issue, I did the setup wizard thing before I realised I needed a ‘details page sidebar’, I can change the Details page to the new sidebar and other things that I want to do, like changing the title bar background image but the individual place entry will only show the ‘default sidebar’ and title bar background image.

You can also run the setup wizard again, skip the items you have already done, and use the options to setup the sidebar widgets.

Is there something wrong with the sidebar you are using?
