Plugin Auto updates aren’t working.
When I select all where updates are available I get:
The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient. All updates have been completed.
However nothing is updated.
Then, if I try to manually kick them off, the updates are failing with: Update Failed: undefined
Nothing in the httpd error logs.
Any easy way to upload the plugins without manually downloading them and re-uploading them?
Thanks,

I’ve replaced your credentials in Auto Updates with mine, deactivated Wordfance and all in one security and by doing this I was able to update plugins. However I had to do them 1 by one.
None of the attempt to update them all together worked and I always got a generic error but once that it gave me this: Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions..
I’e alerted Stiofan to see if he can find out more.
Please update your password again in Auto Updates (and preferably use the username not the email address)
Thanks,
p.s. 61 active plugins? If you start receving some traffic you will need a beefy server to handle it, just FYI.
August 20, 2015 at 10:20 pm #50175p.s. I was actually unable to update the social importer. It keeps showing this error:
Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions..
Stiofan will let you know.
Thanks for your patience,
August 20, 2015 at 10:43 pm #50185Ha, half of them are for running your app – gotta combine those things… 😉
So with WordFence active, I have zero issues updating any of the other 30 plugs, some which require auth as well. Even if I 777 the dir there are issues updating – for example, social import still won’t update, so I’m not sure if it’s permissions.
Regarding the massive wave of plugins. In production the site lives in a load-balanced five-server environment. Each 2×6 core 2.66 XEONs and 32GB of RAM. And the database server? Forget about it… 😉 Of course, I’m not sure we’ll see our 7.5MM visitors ever again, but I can hope your app performs well in the SERPS.
Where’s the beef?
August 20, 2015 at 10:47 pm #50188WOW, that’s actually more beef than I had in mind… 🙂
August 20, 2015 at 10:59 pm #50191That’s what it took running ColdFusion at its peak…. It’d get loaded down during peak seasons and we’d just throw more hardware at it. CF sucks BTW – but we go way back.
Anyhow, can’t wait to have it fully converted and running on GD. 5,000 more entries to go in the main categories. 😉
Updating Social Updater manually.
August 21, 2015 at 3:13 pm #50291Hi John,
Sounds like this is all working now? I’ll mark it resolved but let us know if it’s not.
If you have any problems ping me on skype.
Thanks,
Stiofan
August 22, 2015 at 10:19 pm #50427Paolo took care of many of them and I manually did the Social updater. 🙂 Thanks everyone.

Username should be glaudi7 and the key can be found here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/glaudi7/
Given that you ahve very old add-ons, try 1st to update 1 of them. Than all the rest.
To have location less listings you need the Custom Post Type add-on.
Thanks
