Below is the correspondence between me and Listimia support and my attempt to get pre-sale support for my problem from GeoDirectory.

I’ll recap: On this site http://miatanation.wpengine.com/ I am unable to add a listing from the home page. I contacted Listimia support with the issue and they suggested that I contact you. There are 3 PHP errors on the page, provided below.

    Hi,

PHP 7.2 and WPEngine should be fully compatible.

Please submit a support ticket in our support forum: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/forum/geodirectory-core-plugin-forum/plugin-support/#new-post .

I’ll send a developer to check your website out.

    Thank you,

    Paolo

This was the last email with Listimia support.
    Emmm
Have tried to contact GeoDirectory guys ?
I suspect a conflict the php 7.2 WP Engine since your website is throwing this error:
Parameter 1 to wp_default_scripts() expected to be a reference, value given

    wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:286

I suggest you to contact GeoDirctory and WP Engine then let me know.

These are the PHP errors I see on the website.

Warning Parameter 1 to wp_default_scripts() expected to be a reference, value given 1
    +
    wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:286
    Plugin: userswp
Warning Parameter 1 to wp_default_packages() expected to be a reference, value given 1
    +
    wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:286
    Plugin: userswp
Warning Parameter 1 to wp_default_styles() expected to be a reference, value given 1
    +
    wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:286
    Plugin: userswp

I have not subscribed and paid for the GeoDirectory Addons yet. This has me a bit concerned. Although I have paid for Listimia I may want to cut my losses if this continues to be a problem.

    Hello,

I see the error on the add-listing page.

Please share WP Admin credentials and FTP credentials in a private reply so we can debug the issue.

Support for free users is only available if the site has no premium addons installed.

    Kiran,
Hello, I see that you were able to add a listing. However, when I attempted to do so I was unable. I tried logged in as myself, and again logged in as another “Fake” user. Both without success.

    I’ll get you ftp credentials.

    Thanks

Try using https, I was able to add a listing, too. Kiran is saying that there is an issue with the ssl, you can contact your host or developer resource for help with that.

Oh, ok. So, you’re saying that once we have the site live and off of our development platform, AND install the SSL certificate we’ll be able to add listings. Thanks.

No, not at all. Did you try it using https? Have you contacted your host to see if they can help you force SSL?

I have contacted my host. And, we don’t install SSL until after the site goes live. The site is on a development platform. If you are saying that the SSL is what’s required for the site to work properly, we’ll do it after it goes live and we’ll be fine. If this isn’t right please advise.

The site is already SSL. If the page is loaded over https then images with an http URL will show mixed content errors.

When I added the listing it was over https.

Can you say more about the issue? How are you adding the listing? Is it over http or https? Frontend or backend?

I’m not worried about mixed content errors, or the SSL right now. Even under mixed content, the site will function properly.

The problem is that I cannot add a listing as an outside user. When I go to this page,
    http://miatanation.wpengine.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
…and put in the required information, I am presented with this error,
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2019/08/error.jpg

Which means that when someone who comes to the site and wants to add their listing, they will not be able to.

Can you help me with this? This is my problem.

    The site is http http://miatanation.wpengine.com
And, I’m having problems adding a listing from the front end.
