If you want Grid 2 by default, then you need to change the shortcode from
```
[gd_loop layout=0]
```
to
```
[gd_loop layout=2]
```
in the GD Archive page.
GD > Settings > Pages > Archive page > Edit.

If you do not want a sidebar on GD archive pages, turn it off in the settings for that page. See image.
