How to add CPT selection to Search Bar?

    I have been searching but haven’t been able to figure out how to add a search form that has the CPT Selection option and it displays a list of categories/sub-categories below it similar to the Supreme Directory. Can this be done with shortcodes? The search shortcodes seems limited and not able to add the CPT to the search. Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi riobravomedia,

    Thanks for your post. If you’ve CPT’s with listings, it will show up on the homepage search form if you’re using the Supreme Directory. If not, could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check on it?

    Kor, you might have solved this issue with your comment. I do not have listings in my other CPT’s so maybe that is why it is not showing.

    Also I am NOT using the Supreme Directory theme.

    The CPT select field will show automatically if there are published listings of that CPT. Extra effort is required to hide the field. The shortcode builder will show you the available options for the GD Search bar. One of them is to choose the default CPT. It does not matter what theme you are using because themes will not change the way the shortcode builder works.
