Hey guys,

I’m trying to add this street address to a listing: 303 S. Main Street

I tried to imported the listing from a CSV file, but it didn’t work. The listing page is this: https://www.cigarscore.com/places/michigan/royal-oak/bars-restaurants/smokys-cigar-bar-bistro/

In the backend, the lat/long are pulling up, as are the state and city. However, I just can’t add the street address.

Hello,

can you describe what isn’t working? Are you able to add the street manually to the listing?

hi alex, just as I said, the address didn’t work as a CSV upload (thought he other 7 listings in the same format did).

And, it didn’t work when I went to wordpress and created a new listing and added the address manually -and it doesn’t save.

There are illegal characters in the sheet.
Try editing with Open or Libre Office to see them, remove them, and then upload again.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey Alex,

If you’re talking about the pop-up message you get when opening it, that’s not an error. That’s the same template I got from you guys when starting this website. I’ve used that template successfully almost 1400 times.

Even if it WAS an error, which it is not, I should still be able to add the address manually in WordPress..

Just as an example, when you go to GeoDirectory > Settings > Import/Export and download your listings, when you open that file, you get the same error.

that illegal character is an apostrophe, and it doesn’t show up on my end.

take it out and make it “smokys” if you need to, but the problem is with the address (street) not saving, not the post_title.

so, maybe https://www.cigarscore.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=7795&action=edit has become corrupted or something.

I would have deleted it by now, except that that listing already has a review w/ photos.

Is there a way to migrate a review to a new listing?

Under the import/export settings tab is a feature to export/import reviews.
