Protect entry before publication

    Hi there,

    I am looking for a very simple solution to protect a post from publication with a password. Then the owner can check the entry with a password and release it.

    I tried the Visibility > Password protected function. But the entry still appears with the note “Protected” in the listings and the page can be viewed completely without password despite password protection. But this should not work with password protection.

    Is it WP GeoDirectory? Does the password protection for the GD entries not work? Or am I doing something wrong?
    Is there any idea which plugin can be used to protect the entries before they are released?

    Hello,

    You can set the posts to draft or pending review. If the listing is already owned by the user you want to see it, they can see a draft when logged in.

    The WP option doesn’t cover custom fields. You can customize a solution yourself or use a 3rd party plugin if you want to protect published listings.
