Neighbourhoods auto-creation

Hi,

I’m naming the neighbourhoods on my own because I’m segregating the areas into smaller sections. Most of the time it works fine but sometimes GD auto-creates the neighbourhood for me so I end up having 2 neighbourhoods with the same name but slightly different.
The one I created is name: Abc, Slug: abc
The GD auto-created one is name: abc Slug: abc-1

Is there a setting I can do to stop GD from auto creating neighbourhoods so that there is consistency? Right now it only does it 20% of the time and I don’t realise that listings in the same neighbourhood are being split into 2 portions, one with Abc and one with abc.

Or is there an option to merge them like how we’re able to merge cities?
