Categories widget, not only locally

    Hi,

    We have different GD > Categories -widgets in our footer.
    How can these show all categories independent of what geographic area are represented on a current page?
    For instance when viewing a page that holds info about an activity in Stockholm then the footer widget only shows categories from activities in Stockholm but we want the footer area to display categories from all cities all the time (not only on the front page where no location has been chosen yet)
    …I have ticked both “Do not filter for current viewing post type” and “Tick to show all the categories…”

    Hi anders,

    Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, there isn’t any geolocation option for the GD > Categories Widget. What you needed there would require customization.

    There is another 2 settings in the Locations tab in the advanced options to disable location in links to archive URLs, from the details page or the archive page.
