I may be overlooking something obvious, in which case apologies… But I can’t for the life of me figure this out.

I’ll have users on my GeoDirectory. These users will have listings. I have the site running to the extent where anyone can add a listing, but I want these listings to be account-bound. The account holder should be able to login, manage his listing and his payment plan, etc. How does one set up GeoDirectory in a manner that allows for user accounts to manage their own listings?

As an example: say I was building something booking.com-like. The Hilton Hotel London should be able to create an account, Hilton Hotel London. From their account page, they should be able to determine their preferred payment plan (i.e. free, pro, premium) and manage their listing (i.e. change description).

    Hello,

for sure users become Listing Owners. Every listing has a field accessible through the backend editor for “Listing Owner”. It may be hidden with “Screen Options”.

Once a Listing Owner owns the listing, you can use the GD > Dashboard widget to provide links for the owner to manage their listings.

The GD Author Actions widget shows links on the frontend for non-admins to Edit or Delete a listing. The GD Author Actions has several options, for example to remove the option to delete. Make sure GD Author Actions has been added to the GD Archive Item and the sidebar that shows on the listing details page.

About payments, the Pricing Manager addon gives you the option to configure Price Packages. A user can add their listing and select their price package. They should also select the “Claimed” checkbox to claim the listing as the Listing Owner.

Once they have done that and paid they can then manage the listing using the options mentioned above.

Setup of these options is covered under each individual plugin or template.

    Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for your post. You can allow your customers to manage their own listing using the default “gd dashboard” feature as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/account-management/#gd_dashboard . Or you can check out the “userswp” plugin https://userswp.io/features-list/ that creates user-profiles and manage listings.

Furthermore, with the wpinvoicing plugin, you can include an additional payment method for payments and you can check it out here https://wpinvoicing.com/features-list/ . Let us know how it goes.
