Hello at past i have ask this:

Hi, i have a litte Question.

How i can Move all Entries to an other Categorie?
How i can move all Restaurants, Lodges entries to Usedom A-Z?

    Best Regards

    Your Answer:
    Hi Kai Siemer,

Thanks for your post. To edit the listings by bulk, you can use the import/export option here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/ . Could you give it a try and see if it helps?

I have read all of this, it does not help me.

If I want to import the export entries, how can I determine where this data will be imported to?

I want to import the entries under “Usedom A-Z”.

    Thanks for ur help
    Best Regards

I am sorry, I don’t understand your question.

Have you tried importing the categories and listings to a new CPT?

Did you run into a specific problem?

You said: “Have you tried importing the categories and listings to a new CPT?”

That’s exactly what I wanted to do, but before I click import and mess everything up, I wanted to ask. Where can I choose where the entries are imported to?

You would specify that in the sheet by naming the post_type

First try adding a new CPT and then add a category and export the category to see the format.

You mean export the Category over GeoDirectory > Settings > Export/Import > Entries: CSV Export?

Or u mean go over GeoDirectory > Settings > Export/Import > Categories > Categories: CSV Export?

I’ve tried both, how i can see now the sheet by naming the post_type?

    Yes, GeoDirectory > Settings > Export/Import > Categories – Export

You will need to use Open or Libre Office to edit and re-upload.

When you open in one of those programs you should be able to see that the fourth column contains the post type.

I installed both Libre Office and opened it and see the post type from the 2 line.

should I completely copy the line where I want to import the entries? Then open the exported entries and insert them from the second line?

I think this should be done in 2 steps

Step one, make a copy of the sheet, remove the values from the id column, and remove all categories with a parent ID. Import.

Step two, export, merge the child categories into the exported sheet and update the child categories -> Parent ID
